Easter Break? Try a Theme Park with a difference in France

A 3 night ferry-inclusive break at Futuroscope for only £91* per person
A 2 night ferry-inclusive break at Park Astérix for only £63* per person

With holidays by air becoming ever more stressful, why not take the family by car to France as a hasslefree, enjoyable and relaxing alternative? So, if you are wondering what to do with the kids over Easter, there are some great-value theme park breaks on offer from Brittany Ferries Holidays.

Futuroscope – near Poitiers, an easy 4 hour drive from Caen.

Discover the world of cinema and the moving image in this futuristic theme park, considered to be one of the top 15 in the world. A man sized robot greets visitors and a free tram runs all day around this enormous park. Huge screens and projectors allow you to 'experience' flying, falling, space flight and many more incredible effects. Swim with exotic creatures or take a trip down the Nile and in the evening, before the park closes, the most spectacular light show takes place. With so much to experience, Futuroscope is perfect for an exciting family break.

Entrance fees are €33 per adult and €24 per child (5-16) for a one day ticket and you can save 10% on this with Brittany Ferries.

Stay at the Hotel de France Royal Poitou, an ideal family hotel just 10 minutes' drive from Futuroscope, on the outskirts of Poitiers.

Parc Astérix – north of Paris, and only a 2hr 40 mins motorway drive from Caen.

This more traditional theme park offers its visitors an excellent mixture of rides and shows. In all there are 28 main attractions, so you'll be hard pushed to fit everything in during a one day visit. Rides vary from genuine heart-stoppers (one travels at over 50 mph and has no less than 7 loops), to far more sedate affairs suitable for younger children. Themed areas include a Gallic village, Roman and Greek zones, and an old style Paris boulevard full of street entertainers. Live shows are staged throughout the day, with everything from comedy to performing dolphins. And needless to say, the lovable cartoon characters that give the park its theme, keep popping up everywhere.

Entrance fees are €34 per adult and €25 per child (3-11) for a one day ticket and you can save 20% on this with Brittany Ferries.

Stay at the Hotel St Witz, a modern hotel with excellent family rooms, only 3k from Parc Astérix.
