Opened in 1988, Le Chabada is a well-known venue for all modern music lovers in and around Angers.
With a 900-seat concert hall and a club with capacity for 350, Le Chabada soon made its name on the live music scene.
The concert programme is fascinating, covering every trend in modern music from electronic to French chanson by way of pop and rock.
Le Chabada prides itself on its multi-disciplinary outlook, too: street theatre, visual arts, dance and the plastic arts are all equally welcome.

Welcome to the world of the weather-vane! From the most classical to the most original, here is where you will find weather-vanes of every kind, made to measure, made to order, to your own design or from a photograph – nothing is impossible in this workshop. Weather-vanes have existed since the Middle Ages, not only to show which way the wind is blowing but also to indicate the trade of the householder: a rearing horse signified a wayside inn, an ox marked the house of a farmer, a mill that of a miller.
Group visits to the workshop can be arranged (visit lasts 45 minutes). Present-day models are divided into a number of themes: local and regional, sport, cars, the sea, music, or even scenes from everyday life.

Donald's Pub brings an English pub atmosphere to evenings in Angers. The main bar (over 8 metres in length!) and omnipresent dark wood give the pub its authentic charm. The impressive range of drinks on offer makes it almost hard to choose: ten different draught beers and over fifty bottled brands, all in the friendly, relaxed atmosphere typical of English and Irish pubs.

Enjoy a taste of Anjou in this chateau and its 9 hectares of land on the Loir, in a spacious dining room where a fireplace and a grand piano create a relaxed, intimate atmosphere.
The wine cellar contains some of the top crus that have earned Anjou its reputation for fine wines. The ideal accompaniment for a spider crab and truffle lasagne in crayfish foam, before you succumb to the exquisite "Petites Folies" desserts prepared by Mireille.

In the centre of the historic city of Angers, at the foot of the castle walls, the Crêperie du Château offers a comfortable rustic setting in which to enjoy its speciality buckwheat galettes and its crêpes. Try the galette nantaise with scallops and julienne vegetables in butter sauce, followed by a crêpe with salted butter caramel.
A pretty terrace on the pedestrian street is a pleasant extension to the restaurant in fine weather. The Crêperie also doubles as a café-theatre, offering all-in dinner + show combinations.

Established on the ground floor of a house, the bookshop deals in old books on travel, gardening and the sciences. This is the ideal place for a real "find", as well as buying or selling books and having them valued. The scents of waxed wood and woodblock floors, of books and ancient documents, are unmistakably authentic.
