About Caen

Caen's port of Ouistreham is situated next to the D-Day beaches. In the city itself you'll find historic abbeys, street markets, shops, restaurants and on the outskirts is the imposing Caen Memorial of Peace. Why not stay in Ouistreham (12miles from Caen) and try some relaxing thalassotherapy treatments at the Riva Bella and then spoil yourself at one of the fine local restaurants. Should you decide to stay in Caen there are regular bus services from Ouistreham port to Caen city centre. A ticket costs around €2.50 per person and can be purchased from the driver. Please be aware that there are no services from Ouistreham after 7pm so arrival at 21:30 are not recommended unless you are willing to pay for a taxi which will cost you around €30. For further information you can contact the tourist office inside the terminal on arrival or you can call them on 00 33 2 31 96 89 70 before you travel.
