Great flexible deals for groups this autumn and winter with Brittany Ferries
France from only £9 per passenger
Leading operator on the Western Channel, Brittany Ferries, has come up with some amazing deals for group organisers during the November-March period, with complete flexibility in terms of choice of timings, routes and length of stay. Not only are they are giving free reclining seats on overnight crossings, but also cabins at specially reduced rates.
As if that wasn't enough, coaches are carried free when there are more than 30 passengers, and the coach driver is given a free berth and meals!
Graham Smith, Group Sales Manager, said: "These special group rates offer exceptional value, not only because of the low fares, but also because of their flexibility. In addition to using them for short breaks, group organisers can employ them for trips of longer duration taking in places like Paris, for which Caen is very convenient, being over 30 miles closer than Calais."
Brittany Ferries' French ports are attractive destinations in their own right, with so much to see and do. Here are some examples of group short break itineraries:
Cherbourg
Cherbourg is their closest French port, making it particularly suitable for daytrips. The Cité de la Mer maritime exhibition provides hours of entertainment, while the town's street markets, shops and hypermarkets are always full of bargains.
- Leave Poole at 08.00 and return at 22.00 with up to 4.5 hours in France for only £9.00 return
- Travel overnight from Portsmouth at 23.00 and enjoy up to 9 hours in France before arriving back in Portsmouth at 21.00 for only £23.50 return, including overnight on-board cabin accommodation.
- Travel overnight from Portsmouth both ways, with a full day in France, for only £28.00 return, including on-board cabin accommodation.
Caen
Caen offers all the usual attractions you would expect from a major city, plus the ultra-modern Museum of Peace contrasting with William the Conqueror's remarkably well-preserved castle.
- Spend one night on board, departing Portsmouth at 23.15 with up to 9 hours in France, returning at 21.45, for only £18.50 return, including overnight on-board cabin accommodation.
- Travel overnight both ways with any length of stay for only £28.00 return including on-board cabin accommodation.
St Malo
With markets, shops, restaurants and even street entertainers, the old walled city of St Malo offers visitors a superb day out. A former pirate stronghold, there are also a number of museums reflecting the city's fascinating maritime history.
- Travel overnight both ways departing Portsmouth at 20.30, arriving back at 08.30 and enjoy a full day in France for only £35.50 return, including on-board cabin accommodation.
Roscoff
Roscoff is a charming fishing village, as well as one of France's premier shellfish ports so, needless to say, the seafood here is magnificent. Good beaches abound and a 15-minute boat ride will take you to the charming Ile de Batz, with its exotic flora and impressive lighthouse.
- Overnight both ways departing Plymouth at 23.00, returning at 07.00, with a full day in France for only £35.50 return including on-board cabin accommodation.
