In May 1999, fans finally found what they were looking for in this bookshop which has grown over time. To step inside is to step into the comic-book world, with books attached to the ceiling and illustrations all over the walls.
The recently-opened bar means it is now possible to sip a coffee while you read, and benefit from personalised advice from a bookshop that features up to 15,000 titles – an absolute gold-mine. Get-togethers and games evenings are a regular feature.

On the edge of Carnac, near the Kermario megalithic alignments, La Côte is a restaurant with only one ambition: to bring "new flavours" to local produce and seafood. The menu changes in line with the seasons and specialises, not without a dash of originality, in fish and seafood: hot curried oysters, scallops cooked on the shell in a cep mushroom cream, or pan-fried sea-bass, crêpes parmentières (potato pancakes) with smoked salmon and bacon juice.
The sober decoration in a mixture of beige and bordeaux and the elegant candle-sticks create an intimate feel.

The food here is inspired by seasonal ingredients and takes a fresh look at traditional cuisine: tastes and textures are reworked to delicious effect. Set menus offer a choice of 6 starters, 6 main courses and 6 desserts, the à la carte menu changes every month and in December the restaurant showcases its most popular dishes of the year.
Despite being housed in a listed building, the restaurant has opted for a contemporary decor, including Starck chairs and regular exhibitions by local artists.

The restaurant welcomes you to a series of salons and three small dining-rooms in a 19th century house that has been fully renovated in a warm, colourful contemporary style. Exposed beams and leather arm-chairs add to the sense of comfort, making this a place you'll want to linger.
Dishes offer subtle blends of flavours: foie gras en raviole with a wild mushroom stock or galette de rouget (red mullet) with potatoes and rosemary will excite even the most blasé of taste-buds!

The Closerie de Kerdrain, an elegant 17th century mansion in the town centre, serves gourmet food for discerning guests. The dining-room, with its 18th century wood panelling and woodblock floor, is a fitting backdrop for dishes that rely on fish, seafood and locally-grown vegetables.
Try the seared red mullet with lemon verbena on a bed of crunchy vegetables, or a breast of pigeon en cocotte with melon, Muscat and fresh mint. Well worth the visit!

Indulge yourself in a rich scallop galette, or a crêpe with apples browned in butter and topped with vanilla ice-cream, salty butter caramel and whipped cream! The manor, which dates from the 18th century but incorporates a 15th century tower, is laden with history: Cadoudal, the Breton leader of the Chouan rebels, passed this way.
Just 1km from Erdeven on the road to Auray, the crêperie is a perfect stopping-off point for the hungry tourist!

This unusually decorated bar welcomes visitors in a spirit of openness to the world and to different ideas. There is plenty of provision for whiling away a pleasant moment: a reading-corner with books and magazines, art exhibitions, a cybercafé (the only one on Belle-Ile-en-Mer) and also over thirty sorts of flavoured rum!
In summer, groups of every sort get together every Wednesday to play mixed, upbeat music.
