This modern hotel is near the A10 highway on the outskirts of Saintes, but set within beautiful parkland overlooking a pond, so the surroundings are pleasant and peaceful. It has 2 restaurants - formal and bistro-style, a lovely piano bar lounge with indoor pool and large picture windows overlooking the garden terrace, and the bedrooms are interestingly themed: Oriental, African & Egyptian to name but three. Saintes is a short drive from the coast at Rochefort or La Rochelle, and a visit to the fragrant town of Cognac should prove uplifting!
