Brittany Ferries exhibits onboard art on dry land

From 22 March to 24 April an exhibition entitled "l'Art est un voyage" (art is a journey) at the National Maritime Museum in Paris will allow the general public to see many works of original art that are normally to be found on board the Brittany Ferries fleet.

Brittany Ferries has long been a patron of the arts and has commissioned works by artists, such as the acclaimed Scottish painter, Alexander Goudie and the Breton, François Dilasser, have been displayed on board its ships. In fact, a total of 50 artists have contributed 1300 original works of art – sculptures, photographs, as well as paintings – over the past 25 years.

David Longden, Managing Director of Brittany Ferries, said: "This is just another feature that sets us apart from other ferry companies. We have always invested heavily in on-board décor as our passengers spend many hours on our ships, because of the longer routes we operate, and we want them to have as enjoyable an experience as possible."

Entrance to the Paris exhibition is free. Alternatively, works of art can be viewed on board most of Brittany Ferries' luxury cruise-ferries to France and Spain this year from as little as £20 return.
