Brittany Ferries announces the death of Christian Michielini, Director General of Brittany Ferries between 1975 and 1997

It is with great sadness that the death of Christian MICHIELINI, Director General of Brittany Ferries between 1975 and 1997 is announced.

Mr Michielini, born in Paris in April 1934 was married and father to five children. A talented man, he studied law in Paris, then joined the International Transport Company 'Groupe Danzas' in 1953, becoming their Director General for France at the age of 30.

He met Alexis GOURVENNEC, founder of Brittany Ferries, in May 1974, and together they embarked on a partnership which was to develop Brittany Ferries into the successful European company it is today.

Mr Michielini was a colourful character and Brittany Ferries will always remember the major part this exceptional man has played in its success.
