Brittany Ferries Buys High-Speed Ferry

Brittany Ferries is to purchase the high-speed ferry, Normandie Express, which it has chartered for the past two years, indicating the company's commitment to its high speed services out of Portsmouth to Cherbourg and Caen. Said David Longden, managing director: "To be able to offer our customers a choice of both conventional and high-speed services, as well as routes, is an important feature of our strategy. Normandie Express has proved to be to be highly reliable during the two years we have chartered her, and the short crossing of only 3 hours has great appeal particularly amongst those who appreciate how accessible Portsmouth is from London."

Normandie Express operates between 23rd March and 28th October from Portsmouth to Cherbourg – 2 return crossings a day Monday-Thursday and 1 return crossing a day Friday-Sunday – and between Portsmouth and Caen - return crossings on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
