Hotels in France Offer - 4 nights for the price of 3

Perfect for an early summer break

May and June are ideal months to visit France - you avoid the crowds and the weather is great. To make it even more appealing Brittany Ferries Holidays have selected nine hotels within easy reach of its French ports in Brittany and Normandy and is offering 4 nights for the price of only 3:

  • Hostellerie Abbatiale, Auray - Le Bono, south Brittany. Past and present come together in this former Breton priory with its modern annexe (lift), cosy bar and a restaurant offering local specialities. Its country setting is on the outskirts of Le Bono village which is across the river from Auray (6k), a delightfully picturesque small town with an old quarter and a Monday market. The gorgeous islands of the Gulf of Morbihan are nearby and golfers can enjoy a 20% discount at the Baden course. £385 (ref. HF1899).
  • Le Manoir du Ménec, Bannalec, south Brittany. Set in the tranquil countryside and run by English proprietors, this charming restored 15thC manor house is perfect for a refreshing country break. It has an excellent restaurant and bar, and its leisure facilities include a gym, sauna/solarium and indoor swimming pool. Explore the scenic grounds or visit some of the nearby attractions which include the famous art centre of Pont Aven, the walled fishing port and resort of Concarneau, and Quimper, a traditional town steeped in Breton history. £370 (ref.HF1535).
  • Grand Hotel Abbatiale, Bénodet, south Brittany. The Abbatiale occupies a wonderful position in the heart of this lively resort which has a 'bucket and spade' charm that appeals to all ages. Once the holiday home of actress Sarah Bernhard, the hotel has a pleasant restaurant where the menus are inspired by the delectable seafood and fresh local produce of the area, and the bedrooms are pleasant and comfortable. There is a busy little port, and three sandy beaches, and L'Odet golf course just a few miles away offers residents 10% discount. £370 (HF1897).
  • Hotel de l'Océan, Concarneau, south Brittany. An ideal hotel for a family holiday, the de l'Océan is opposite the beach and has good facilities for children including a play area and video games room. There is also an inviting poolside terrace and a gastronomic restaurant with panoramic views over the bay. Concarneau's historic walled city, surrounded by the sea, is a must for exploration - a picture of this is reputed to be south Brittany's best selling postcard! - and other nearby attractions include Quimper, Bénodet and Pont Aven. £385 (HF0160).
  • Hotel Océania, St Malo, Brittany. This romantic walled city, with its long maritime tradition and historic attractions, is one of France's great tourist centres - many travelling no further on leaving the ferry. For those who do decide to stay put, the Océania has much to recommend it. It is the closest hotel to the old town and is, quite literally, next to the beach and casino. £385 (HF2062).
  • Hotel Continental, Deauville, Normandy. Deauville is by far the chicest spot in Normandy - Coco Chanel herself had a smart boutique here in 1913 and many designers keep up the tradition today. And close to the port and fashionable beach with its smart boardwalk, Les Planches, the Continental is an elegant residence that has been renovated to create this comfortable hotel. £370 (HF2381).
  • Hotel Bel Air, Flamanville, Normandy. The little cliff top village of Flamanville, not far from Cherbourg and near the spectacular cliffs of the cape of La Hague, has its own château, and right next door is this pretty, family-run hotel and its annexe. The rooms are comfortable, the breakfast room overlooks the charming gardens and the welcoming and peaceful atmosphere makes for a wonderful, restful holiday. £370 (HF2297).
  • Hotel Mercure, Pont l'Evêque, Normandy. This modern hotel with panoramic views over the surrounding countryside is just 6k from the fashionable seaside resorts of Trouville and Deauville. Relax and enjoy a drink or a snack on the summer terrace beside the heated outdoor pool, or try one of the hotel's traditional menus which include Norman specialities such as Cuisse de Canard au Cidre (duck cooked in cider). Other leisure facilities include billiards, a tennis court and a boules pitch. £385 (HF2751).
  • Hotel la Granitière, St Vaast la Hougue, Normandy. This delightful little hotel is in the centre of a small fishing port, surrounded by the lush Normandy countryside on the Cherbourg peninsula. The local oysters are reputed to be some of the finest in France, and the sheltered location encourages almost tropical vegetation, including mimosa and palm trees. The hotel has charming bedrooms and a garden terrace, and nearby there are plenty of things to see and do. £370 (HF0606).

All hotels have been inspected by Brittany Ferries Holidays to ensure that they provide high standards and value for money. Prices are for 4 nights bed and breakfast based on two people sharing a double room with facilities, and include return midweek ferry crossings with car.

This special offer is available from 1 April until the end of June and additional people can pay for the room only, so these breaks can also be taken during some of the forthcoming school holidays.
