Brittany Ferries Introduces Special Group Fares for 2007 from only £10* return per passenger
Leading operator on the Western Channel, Brittany Ferries, has come up with some amazing fares for group organisers for 2007, starting at only £10* return for a stay of up to 60 hours in France. These fares are available throughout most of 2007, even during the summer, on any Brittany Ferries luxury cruise-ferry services from Portsmouth, Poole and Plymouth to Cherbourg, St Malo, Caen and Roscoff. It is even possible to mix routes to suit a particular itinerary.
As if that wasn't enough, coaches are carried free when there are more than 30 passengers, and the coach driver is given a free berth and meals!
Graham Smith, Group Sales Manager, said: "These special group rates offer exceptional value and flexibility for breaks. Within the time limit it is quite possible to take in a 2 night break in Paris, for which Caen is very convenient, being over 30 miles closer than Calais."
Brittany Ferries is renowned for the quality of its ships with superb facilities including restaurants, cafés, bars, shopping and entertainment. Its onboard service has an authentic French flavour with French chefs serving outstanding freshly prepared French food at great value prices.
Brittany Ferries' French ports are attractive destinations in their own right, with so much to see and do. Here are some examples of group short break itineraries:
Cherbourg
Cherbourg is their closest French port, making it particularly suitable for daytrips. The Cité de la Mer maritime exhibition provides hours of entertainment, while the town's street markets, shops and hypermarkets are always full of bargains. With twice daily high speed crossings of only 3 hours from Portsmouth, this route is particularly suited to day trips.
Caen
Caen offers all the usual attractions you would expect from a major city, plus the ultra-modern Museum of Peace contrasting with William the Conqueror's remarkably well-preserved castle. There are 3 crossings each way every day.
St Malo
With markets, shops, restaurants and even street entertainers, the old walled city of St Malo offers visitors a superb base for a break. A former pirate stronghold, there are also a number of museums reflecting the city's fascinating maritime history. The 12 hour overnight crossing from Portsmouth lends itself to a relaxing cruise.
Roscoff
Roscoff is a charming fishing village, as well as one of France's premier shellfish ports so, needless to say, the seafood here is magnificent. Good beaches abound and a 15-minute boat ride will take you to the charming Ile de Batz, with its exotic flora and impressive lighthouse. Plymouth is easily accessible from so many places in the UK.
