A two day Golfing Break in France for less than £100!
Brittany Ferries is offering an inclusive break for golfers who want a taste of France at an almost unbelievable price. Available from 15 October to 31 December, this special offer includes return ferry crossing with car, a Club Class reclining seat on overnight crossings, one night's hotel accommodation with breakfast, 2 rounds of golf and 2 lunches with a glass of wine or beer. Costing only £91* per person, this package is ideal for couples or groups alike, and is available at 3 fantastic courses and hotels near the Brittany Ferries ports of Roscoff, St Malo and Caen:
Golf de Samson, Trégastel, Brittany (44 miles from Roscoff port)
This heathland course has many natural hazards and fine sea views overlooking the Pink Granite coast and is ideal for the mid-handicap golfer. The hotel is situated on the golf course and the comfortable accommodation is in a low modern building with an excellent restaurant serving local cuisine and a lively bar overlooking the countryside with distant views of the sea. (ref. FGB016 & HF0395)
Golf de St Malo, Le Tronchet (16 miles from St Malo port)
Characterised by rolling fairways, the course surrounds Mirloup Lake and borders the forest of Mesnil - it is the largest course in Brittany, covering nearly 250 acres. There are some huge bunkers and, without a doubt, this is one of the finest of the new generation courses in France. There is a bar-restaurant with a beautiful terrace, which has views over nearly a third of the course, in which you can enjoy a lovely meal after your game.
The Hotel du Prieuré is an extension of the clubhouse and the air conditioned rooms, all with balcony or terrace, look out towards the 18th hole or lake. (ref. HF2673 & FGB002)
Golf de Clécy, Normandy (33 miles from Caen port)
This heavily wooded and undulating course, designed by Bill Backer, is reputed to be one of the most beautiful and natural in France - you will certainly enjoy the lovely surroundings and wildlife, even if your golf is not up to scratch!
This simple country hotel is right beside the golf course and the owners, who are keen golfers, offer a warm welcome, plus traditional French cuisine to charge your batteries at the beginning and end of your golfing day. All rooms have tea and coffee making facilities. (ref. HF2605 & FGN009)
These golf breaks begin and end with a relaxing cruise, giving plenty of time to enjoy the ship's fine restaurants, comfortable bars and lounges and live entertainment. On overnight crossings a good night's sleep in an en-suite cabin (an extra, but at 50% discount) allows you to arrive refreshed and ready for a round of golf. What's more, taking your own car means packing bulky golf equipment is so easy and there is not even the faintest prospect of excess baggage charges.
If any advice is needed, then it is readily available from the Brittany Ferries' Golf Desk, on 0870 902 1818, staffed by experts who are all very familiar with the golf courses featured. They can also arrange all bookings including tee-off times.
