Golf for a good cause

Earlier this year Brittany Ferries staged a successful golf tournament in Normandy, in which over 150 golfers took part. As well as show-casing the delights of Normandy as a great place for a golf break, the event raised £1400 for the Rowcroft, Torbay and South Devon's Hospice.

Rowcroft Hospice is the only hospice in South Devon. Every year, the hospice cares for over 1000 patients, their families, and loved ones. The services cost over £5 million each year to provide. The majority of this money is raised through the generosity of the local community which has supported the hospice over the last 25 years.

Graham Ruth, Brittany Ferries Director of Golf comments "Brittany Ferries is always keen to nurture links within the local community, and providing support to places like the Rowcroft Hospice is no exception. It was a great day out, and even more satisfying in the knowledge we were also raising money for a very worthwhile cause".
