Santander Ferry Terminal Guide

By Car

Santander provides good road connections to the whole of Spain and the South of France. Take the N634 westwards along the coast towards Coruna, and eastwards towards Bilbao. The N611 goes south to Valladolid and the N623 links the ferry port with Burgos. To get to the port from town follow the signs to Puerto, Zona Maritma or Ferry.

By Train

The station is 5mins away from the ferry with services to Bilbao and Oviedo. RENFE is the national railway system and has links to almost every town in Spain.

By Sea

Brittany Ferries operates a twice weekly service to Plymouth.

By Coach

There is a coach station in Santander, about 5 minutes from the terminal and there are regular services to and from Madrid and Bilbao.

Santander Terminal Facilities

Santander is a bustling regional capital and a popular holiday resort that offers award-winning sandy beaches, excellent shopping and a host of restaurants, bars and hotels. The ferry port is in the centre of town, so a car is not essential. However, the stunning surrounding countryside and mountains are well worth exploring.

Baby changing room

There is no baby-changing facility.

Cafeteria/ Newspaper/ Gift Shop

The cafeteria is on the ground floor & there is a gift shop which sells beverages & food.

Bureau de change

There are no exchange facilities in the terminal. There are a number of bureau de change in the town centre.

Car Hire

It is not possible to hire a car from the terminal.

Services for the Disabled

Access to the terminal is possible for disabled passengers. There are disabled toilet facilities.

Left Luggage

It is not possible to leave luggage in the terminal.

Showers

There are no shower facilities.

Telephones

Coin and phonecard payphones can be found in the terminal.

Tourist Information

There is a tourist information desk in the terminal which is open for arrivals and departures. There is a larger tourist information office in Santander (00 34 942 310 708).

Parking

Parking is only permitted for dropping off and picking up. Passengers wishing to park for longer must use one of the paying car parks nearby.
