Membership terms and conditions 2013

These conditions apply to all Club Voyage memberships with Brittany Ferries. Memberships form a contract between yourself and BAI SA, through the agency of its UK subsidiary, BAI UK Limited ('Brittany Ferries'), at the time we confirm your booking by providing your booking reference.

General Conditions

Membership and club benefits are limited to individuals and their associates (where applicable) only. Discounts applicable to members' travel extend to other people booked on the same ticket as the named member or associate card holder, one of whom must travel with the party. Membership will not be granted to companies, organisations or to individuals for commercial gain or profit. Any vehicle exceeding 6.5m in length which is not specifically constructed or adapted for the carriage of passengers will be charged as freight and must be booked as such by calling freight reservations on 0871 244 0900.  Non declaration of freight vehicles and goods will result in supplements being charged at the port and we reserve the right to refuse carriage.

Brittany Ferries reserves the right to withdraw Club Voyage, make changes to benefits, registration, administration and annual membership fees at any time, without redress.

Applications must have been accepted and membership number issued before discounted bookings can be made. Membership is not transferable, and applies to the individual member or associate only, one of whom must travel. Membership is for 12 months.

All bookings must be made directly with Brittany Ferries in the UK either in person, by telephone or on the Brittany Ferries website. When booking, members must quote their current valid membership number. Membership must be valid at the time of travel or the discount will be removed. Discounts and benefits apply to Brittany Ferries services only.

Club Voyage discounts and benefits can not be combined with any other loyalty, discount, membership or reward scheme associated either directly or indirectly with Brittany Ferries.

Brittany Ferries reserves the right to terminate, refuse application, refuse to renew any membership or refuse to accept any bookings under a given membership number at any time without redress.

Savings do not apply to Ireland-France routes.

By making application to join Club Voyage or by renewing their membership, the member confirms that they have read the Terms and Conditions of Club Voyage and agrees to be bound by them. Any amendment to membership must be by instruction from the member and not the associate. Amendments will be charged at £25 at Brittany Ferries discretion. Membership will be considered lapsed and terminated if renewal fees are not paid within three months of expiry.

Payment

Registration and Membership fees can only be paid by credit/debit card.

A charge is made for the use of all cards except UK debit cards. Please note membership renewal is not automatic and it requires the member to contact Brittany Ferries and instruct. Unless we hear from you within 5 days of payment for your membership, the contract will take effect after which point will be non-refundable.

Travel

Travel is subject to Brittany Ferries Conditions of Booking and Carriage and is also subject to availability. The rates of discounts and the tariffs to which discounts apply may be varied from time to time at the discretion of Brittany Ferries.

Data Protection

By becoming a member of Club Voyage, or by renewing membership, a member consents to Brittany Ferries creating, updating and maintaining data which relates to the individual, including name, address, telephone number, email address as well as any other relevant personal details and travel booked. Data will be updated and maintained for the purpose of providing the member with information regarding Brittany Ferries products and services.

Brittany Ferries takes its responsibilities regarding privacy and security of customer information very seriously. The data we obtain from you is required to process your booking or enquiry as requested and to comply with requirements under government legislation.

We are registered and comply with the Data Protection Act 1998, the Data Controller is the Company Secretary, BAI (UK) Limited (Brittany Ferries), Millbay, Plymouth, PL1 3EW. Registration No 1080495.

We may use certain data to inform you of future offers. If you do not wish to receive information then please contact us. You are entitled to a copy of your personal data held by us on payment of a fee. Please write to the Data Controller at the above address. Relevant English Law will apply to the Agreement and the relevant courts of England will have exclusive jurisdiction in relation to the Agreement.

Additional Information

In certain circumstances, at Brittany Ferries sole discretion, membership may be transferred between the two sections of Club Voyage for an administration fee of £35. All savings and benefits must be booked by the member prior to departure. Savings and benefits cannot be applied during a crossing and cannot be applied retrospectively. Savings do not apply to onboard accommodation overnight.
