Travelling with a pet on board Cap Finistère

We're looking forward to welcoming you and your four-legged friend on board Cap Finistère. We hope that this information will help you understand what to expect when boarding the ship, during the sailing and prior to disembarkation.

Before you arrive

  • We recommend that your dog has been exercised and toileted before boarding the ship

Check-in

  • Your dog's chip will be scanned and your Pet Passport checked
  • We will place a sticker on your car windscreen to ensure you're parked appropriately on board
  • Please do not remove this sticker until having exited your port of arrival

On board

Pets are only allowed in pet-friendly cabins, kennels and designated exercise areas but not in any other public area of the ship (except registered assistance dogs).

  • Once parked on board, please leave your pet in your vehicle and make your way to the upper decks. Shortly before departure, an announcement will be made, inviting you to meet a member of our crew at the information desk on deck 7
  • At this point, we will give you all the information you need for the sailing, including procedures and for passengers having booked a kennel, the numeric code to access the kennels
  • A member of crew will then take you back to your vehicle and help you transfer your pet to the kennels or your pet-friendly cabin

Kennels

  • The kennels are open from 06:00 until 23:00 ship's time. In exceptional situations, should you need to visit your pet outside of the hours, please see the night watchman at the information desk

Disembarkation

  • Approximately 1 hour before arrival, we will invite pet owners over the tannoy to return to their cabins or meet at the kennels
  • We will then accompany you and your pet back to your vehicle. Once your pet is back in your vehicle, you'll need to return to the passenger areas of the ship.

Whilst transferring your dog from your vehicle to your cabin and again back to your vehicle, it must be muzzled and on a lead. This also applies when in the pet exercise areas.

For operational reasons, these procedures are subject to change. Please follow the instructions given to you by our crew. For further information, you can visit the information desk on deck 7.
