Aladdin Pantomime

Aladdin our lavish production on our St Malo to Portsmouth crossings during summer 2011

Passengers travelling to Portsmouth on the Bretagne during the summer of 2011 experienced the hustle and bustle of Old Peking and enterred the magical world of Aladdin.

Following the great success of Dick Whittington on board the year before, Aladdin and his wonderful lamp, one of the most popular tales of all time, enchanted and entertained passengers of all ages during the ship's St Malo to Portsmouth sailings.

Aladdin's adventures transform him from pauper to prince, courtesy of an extrovert genie who he accidentally summons in the cave of jewels...but beware of the evil sorcerer Abananzar, who stops at nothing to achieve his ambition of being the most powerful person in the world!

Add to the mix, Aladdin's outrageous and hard-working mother, Widow Twankey, (the local laundress), beautiful Princess Jasmine and the crazy Chinese policeman.

And in true panto style, bags of chocolates were given away to members of the audience: during each afternoon's performance, one lucky winner was presented with a family hamper of Mars® chocolates - in addition to the mountains of Mars® M&Ms'® which were handed out too!
