Course and hotel information featured in these golf breaks

Apremont Golf d'Apremont

Golf d'Apremont

This wonderfully presented woodland course is situated just 5 minutes north of Chantilly. With plenty of water hazards the 18 challenging holes will test your accuracy with a number of clever doglegs. The stunning surroundings and variety this course has to offer makes it a must play in the area.

Our opinion: Easy walking course, must play. Favourite Hole: 11th.

Golf du Lys Chantilly Golf du Lys Chantilly

Golf du Lys Chantilly

Club du Lys is a great example of Tom Simpson's understated course design at its best. Each hole has its own character on relatively flat terrain that cuts a swathe through thick woodland. Relatively short, this course has the makings of a great 36-hole day, topped off by a fantastic meal in the clubhouse.

Our opinion: Worth a visit. Favourite Hole: Les Chenes 17.

Golf du Raray Golf du Raray

Golf du Raray

The Raray course is located in the grounds of the prestigious Château de Raray, and provides a fine test of French golf. This is a relatively long course with six par fours over 400 yards, and has been carved out of dense forest to challenge golfers, whilst fairways are generous enough to allow plenty of room to manoeuvre the ball.

Our opinion: Strong test, very pleasant. Favourite Hole: La Licorne 13.

Feucherolles Golf Club Feucherolles Golf Club

Feucherolles Golf Club

Designed by highly acclaimed architect Jean Marie Poellot, this course was built to respect the environment and in doing so has created a perfectly landscaped 18 hole course. There are tree-lined fairways, hills and lakes to test your skill. The clubhouse has top class facilities and is a great place to unwind after your round.

Our opinion: Highly recommended. Favourite Hole: 6th.

Golf de Courson Golf de Courson

Golf de Courson

Courson has won its place in the ranks of the best courses in Europe providing 36 holes split into four loops of nine. Landscaped fairways provide an interesting, self-contained feel to many holes and the course has several large multi-tiered greens that could really test your short-game.

Our opinion: A must play and visit. Favourite Hole: 6th.

FGI005 Golf National Albatros Golf National Albatros

Golf National Albatros

Ref: FGI005

Ranked amongst Europe's top courses, Albatros has hosted the French Open on all but two occasions since 1991 (when Argentine Eduardo Romero became the inaugural winner here) and will host the 2018 Ryder Cup. This means we mere mortals have five years left to try out this wonderful course before the likes of McIlroy, Fowler and co take centre stage. So, what can we expect? Huge greens for starters (be warned, they're super slick in the sun), well guarded by plentiful water and sand traps. It's a challenging course, but with a variety of tee placements to make it manageable for the average player. It's the ideal place to play if you're looking to get a first hand flavour of the future of one of golf's greatest events.

Our opinion: A must play before 2018 when you can sit back and reminisce. Favourite Hole: 18th.
