Cruise to Spain and back

You travel out from Plymouth to Santander on a Wednesday onboard the Pont-Aven, departing at midday and arrive in Spain the next morning. Then the drive to the hotel in Laguardia takes approximately 2hrs 30mins (excellent motorway connections) and you stay here for the next 4 nights discovering the delights of this famous region where you can sample the wine as well as the golf! Departure day is Monday and there's time for a quick game of golf or some shopping in the delightful seaside resort of Santander before going onboard in the afternoon for the cruise home that arrives back in the UK Tuesday morning.

Hotel in La Rioja

Laguardia is ideally located between Logroño, the capital of La Rioja, and the major wine centre of Haro, so the Hotel Villa de Laguardia is extremely well positioned for trying and buying, as well as being close to the golf courses! Many of the wine makers offer guided tours and tastings, and a great time to visit is when the wine festivals take place during June, August and September.

Play golf Friday to Sunday

During your stay your package includes 3 rounds of golf and these can be played on any of the 4 featured golf courses. If you are not too busy stocking up with wine, you can also reserve and pay for extra tee times on any of these golf courses, or you might want to play the Pedreña golf course near Santander before driving to La Rioja or on your return prior to catching the ferry back home from Spain to Plymouth that leaves during the afternoon and arrives next day in the morning.
