Aigrette Bateau Restaurant

The Odet is sometimes known as "France's prettiest river", and quite rightly so. Discover Kerbinic château and Kergoz manor without leaving the comfort of your seat… On board the Aigrette you can travel down the Odet, enjoying the panoramic view, all the while savouring the chef's specialties: devilfish with citrus fruit and chorizo marmelade, or some choice scampi en papillote (wrapped in foil).
For dessert, don't miss out on the local Plougastel delicacies.

This restaurant is a two-minute walk from Quimper cathedral and welcomes customers in a cozy atmosphere comprised of two main rooms, one with an Asian-style interior, while the other is more colonial-inspired.
As the decor suggests, cuisine leans towards the multicultural, with a preference for Asian, Indian and French.
Within, you can degust some luscious steam-cooked wontons or nems, but also duck foie gras with gingerbread, and the Cow-boy meal (a barbecue set up at the table). For dessert, the infamous chocolate Kif (home-made soft chocolate cake) is a delight.

Armor Lux

Wallace Hubacher started the Armor Hosiery in 1938 - the brand was known as Armor lux.
He designed his first prêt-à-porter collections in 1970, an addition to his production of underwear and sailor's garb.
In 1993, two native Breton entrepreneurs, Jean-Guy Le Floch and Michel Gueguen, took over the company and create a line of children's clothes, Armor-Kids, in 1997.
A new factory was established in the Quimper area in 2004, and a year later Armor lux began a production of fair-trade cotton products, labelled by Max Mavelaar.
Today, the factory's boutique remains a favoured clothing shop among locals.

Atelier de madame cocar

Madame Cocar's workshop provides an in-depth introduction to the techniques of traditional stained glass and the asymmetric creative work required to produce the required thick glass using traditional craftsman's methods. For 25 years the work of production has been carried on in this studio, with the utmost respect for the material and how it will blend into the environment for which it is destined.
The stained glass produced in this workshop graces buildings both public and private along the Breton coast. Other smaller pieces, known as "cabinet stained glass", are on display in the exhibition gallery outside the studio.

Au fin cafe

Grossard - viaFrance
This ancient building with its old-world decoration is one of the oldest shops in Rennes. It offers 16 different types of coffee, from single-bean to blends. Your coffee is milled to order and sold free of preservatives.
Tea lovers need not feel neglected, however, since the shop also offers around a hundred varieties of loose tea, teas in muslin bags and a number of highly original and subtly flavoured teas: "poet's mix" is a blend of cinnamon, vanilla, caramel and apple, "cherub's blend" mixes sweet and bitter with hazelnut chocolate spiked with blood orange and additional notes of lemon and almond.
For your own perfect tea ceremony or coffee break, a selection of table-ware is also available.

Aux amis de la bd

Less than ten years ago, there was not one single shop dealing in comic books in the whole town of Vannes. In May 1999, fans finally found what they were looking for in this bookshop which has grown over time. To step inside is to step into the comic-book world, with books attached to the ceiling and illustrations all over the walls.
The recently-opened bar means it is now possible to sip a coffee while you read, and benefit from personalised advice from a bookshop that features up to 15,000 titles – an absolute gold-mine. Get-togethers and games evenings are a regular feature.

Boutique François Le Villec

François Le Villec is mostly inspired by the traditions and legends of Brittany. It is this heritage which comes through in the interior design, with bright, sunny lines and exclusively Breton-style motifs, all in "glazik" blue and that particular Breton-jennet yellow - this style spills onto the tablecloths, linen and other decorative elements that are available at this boutique.
For lovers of quality embroidery and fine linen, this is the shop for you. The printed fabrics, designed by Le Villec himself, make stylish napkins, towels, ties and a myriad other things…
It is useful to know that this boutique has a website from which orders can be placed.

Café le michelet

Every Saturday morning is oyster time, when oysters are served at just 20 centimes a piece, with bread and butter! No need to add, perhaps, that the atmosphere is particularly friendly and lively!
The bar specialises in wine by the glass, red or white, served on the boat-shaped terrace (open in summer, closed and heated in winter). The ideal place for a lunchtime snack in the middle of a day's shopping in the town centre.
