Stylish, lots of fun, and with a 5 mile long immaculately clean beach that is widely regarded as being one of the most beautiful in Europe, La Baule can offer just about everything you could ever want from a holiday by the sea. All along this gorgeous sandy stretch you'll find opportunities for water sports galore, while for the young ones there's a great variety of children's clubs providing endless games and entertainment.

Of course, not all the fun is confined to the beach. Tennis, go-carting, horse riding and golf are just four of the activities that are particularly well catered for. Western Loire is blessed with many wonderful golf courses, and the area immediately around La Baule can claim two of the very best: Golf de la Baule and Golf de la Bretesche. The latter features tree lined fairways, a large lake, and a highly impressive château that overlooks the ninth green.
