Where are animals kept whilst on-board?
On Pont-Aven, Cap Finistère and Bretagne there are 2 sizes of kennels (large & small). Please see links at the bottom of this page for exact kennel dimensions.
Cap Finistère is also equipped with 14 pet friendly cabins. These cabins comfortably accommodate a single pet, however if you are travelling with more than one and wish to discuss your options please call 0871 244 0744 and one of our reservations agents will be able to help with your arrangements.
On our other vessels, animals will only be permitted to travel in the owner/escort's vehicle. Animals are not permitted in the passenger areas of the ship (guide dogs excepted).
The kennels are situated on Deck 10 on both Cap Finistère and Pont-Aven. A dedicated area adjacent to the kennels is provided for exercise and comfort breaks. This is open-air on Pont Aven and enclosed on Cap Finistère. You may visit your dog at any time. For pets who remain in vehicles on the Pont-Aven there are set times for you to visit the garage to exercise and toilet them. Pets are not permitted to stay in vehicles on Cap Finistère.
The kennels on Bretagne are situated forward of the garage on Deck 5 where a small exercise area is provided. Dogs can be left in your vehicle if you wish. Pet visits are at 12h00 and 15h00 on a day sailing and 22h00 on an overnight sailing.
Our other vessels do not have kennels and all animals remain in your vehicle. Visits to exercise your pet and allow them a comfort break are made by arrangement with staff at the Information Desk onboard. Visits to the garage on our high speed services are not permitted unless there are exceptional circumstances.
Please note the kennels are not available when the ships operate to/from Caen, Cherbourg or *Roscoff. (*except for Pont-Aven crossings from Plymouth to Roscoff on Thursday nights.)
When travelling on Bretagne to St Malo it is not compulsory to use the kennels, your dog/dogs may stay in your vehicle.
