Description of Accommodation

This site is at the foot of the famous Dune du Pyla - Europe's highest sand dune (over 100m tall). It's worth climbing the steps to the top for a fantastic view over the bay of Arcachon (famous for its oyster beds) and the Landes pine forests. There is easy access to a lovely sandy beach and from here you can also enjoy a boat trip out to the Banc d'Arguin, a sandbank which is a nature reserve and a bird sanctuary. This area is also a paradise for those keen on watersports with excellent facilities on many of the beaches along this gorgeous coastline.

Shaded beneath a 15 hectare pine forest and right by a beautiful sandy beach, this pleasant campsite with 540 pitches has plenty to offer for a great family holiday. Facilities include 3 heated outdoor pools, 2 jacuzzis and a good variety of sporting & leisure activities. Watch the paragliders take off and descend from below the restaurant/bar that overlooks the coast.

Max: 4/5 - Chalet style 'Pinède' mobile homes have living room with table/chairs, padded seating (converts to double bed), kitchen corner (fridge/freezer, microwave + 4 ring hob), double & twin bedroom, shower, wc. French windows to wooden terrace with garden furniture.

Max: 6 - 'Dune'. As above except padded seating does not convert into a bed and there is an extra twin bedroom.

Extra Services

SPORTS - Beach volleyball, tennis, table tennis, pétanque. Hang gliding, diving, boat trips all nearby.

FOR CHILDREN - Free activities (arts & crafts, treasure hunts, shows, sports) for 3 age groups from 5yrs to 17yrs. Play area with bouncy castle. Games room.

OTHER ACTIVITIES - Evening entertainment (Jul/Aug). Aquagym.

FACILITIES - Takeaway food. Mini golf (free). Bike hire. Communal bbq. Wi-Fi at reception & internet desk (charge payable).

SWIMMING - 3 heated outdoor pools open all season (1 with a 47m long waterchute!), paddling pools, 2 jacuzzis and a sauna.

End of stay cleaning - 65 euros.

Bed linen hire - 12 euros per bed.

Towel hire - 5 euros per person.

Baby facilities - Hire of cot and high chair 14 euros per week Jul/Aug (free in low season).
