Description of Le Grand Hotel, Bayonne
Bayonne, the capital of French Basque country, nestles between two rivers and is best explored on foot. Its pedestrianised streets form a lively shopping area interspersed with cafés and bars where you can seek out shops selling Bayonne ham and the local speciality, spicy Loukinkos sausage. If you are lucky enough to be there in mid July, you will have the added benefit of the Jazz festival which attracts celebrities from all over the world and the popular Fêtes de Bayonne. Superbly located on a classic French avenue in the heart of the old city, the Grand Hotel is built on the site of an ancient convent, close to the theatre and cathedral. It is a wonderful mix of tradition and charm where the staff are friendly and you can start your day with an excellent breakfast each morning. Hotel garage approx. 13 euros/day.

Prices in black are per person based on two sharing. They include B&B and return ferry crossings on selected sailings to France, for a standard car and occupants.

Ferry prices for holiday clients are greatly reduced therefore if you travel abroad for 7 nights or longer a minimum of 3 nights holiday accommodation for all members of the party must be booked.
