Description of Accommodation
St Jean de Luz (2.5k) is a charming resort in a wonderful location on the Basque coast, ideal for watersports. It is also a pretty fishing port (famous for its tuna and anchovies), with narrow lanes, enticing shops and markets as well as lots of history to discover. This is also close to the Spanish border if you feel like a trip to Bilbao's Guggenheim museum and not far from the Pyrenees for a day in the mountains.
The Domaine Iratzia, built in 2010, is set in private parkland bordered by a pine forest just 400m from the Erromardie beach. On site is a hotel (bar & evening restaurant) and around 150 comfortable well equipped apartments in a group of low rise buildings. Facilities include a heated outdoor pool (20m x 7m and 1.5m deep throughout) open 15 April to end Sept, paddling pool and sun terrace with loungers & parasols. Free tennis and pelota court. For children there is a play area and FREE club in July & August for 4-11yr olds, 5 half days per week. Tv hire & Wi-Fi in apartments (charge payable). 2 underground car parks, free of charge.
Max: 4 - Living room with double sofa bed, tv + kitchen area with dishwasher, 2 ring hob and microwave/grill. Double bedroom. Bath/shower room. Wc. Terrace or balcony with furniture.
Max: 4/6 - As Max 4, above, but with fridge/freezer instead of fridge, and with a small cabin room (bunk beds) for children.
Max: 6 - Living room with double sofa bed, tv + kitchen area with fridge/freezer, dishwasher, 2 ring hob and microwave/grill. Double bedroom. 2nd bedroom with either double or twin beds (sometimes bunks). Bath/shower room. Wc. Terrace or balcony with furniture.
