Description of Hotel Arvor, Dinan
Dinan is a lovely medieval citadel in a beautiful setting high above the river Rance. Stroll up the delightful cobbled streets of rue du Jerzual and rue du Petit Fort to explore the many shops and galleries. This charming 18thC hotel, once the site of a Jacobin monastery, is tucked into a quiet narrow street in the heart of the higher town and has attractive, comfortable rooms (free Wi-Fi). Although it doesn't have a restaurant, there are lots of good places to eat nearby, and it has the added benefit of a private car park - limited space approx. 5 euros/night.

Prices in black are per person based on two sharing. They include B&B and return ferry crossings on selected sailings to France, for a standard car and occupants.

Ferry prices for holiday clients are greatly reduced therefore if you travel abroad for 7 nights or longer a minimum of 3 nights holiday accommodation for all members of the party must be booked.

Very welcoming, friendly and helpful. The staff were, it seemed, determined for us to get the best from our stay with advice on restaurants, wine, day trips and even French lessons thrown in for good measure. The hotel is in a great location, and offers reasonable priced parking, which proved useful as parking can be limited in town. The staff (all spoke English well) were extremely helpful and seemed please to accommodate our requests including booking tables at restaurants prior to our arrival. They have a wealth of information, which proved invaluable and enhanced the enjoyment of our weekend. The hotel itself is perfectly adequate, quiet, clean, with powerful shower, and well maintained. However, it is quite typical of many older character French hotels, in as far as the rooms lack some amenities, such as coffee making facility, no English channels on tv and limited lighting. However, there was always a member of staff on reception who would happily provide any beverage for you in the delightful lounge. Hotel Arvor was an ideal location for us - in the historic centre of the city. We had a very happy welcome from Michelle, who offered us a choice of two rooms and allocated a parking spot for the car. Throughout our five day stay, all the team were charming and helpful.
