Customer Reviews

An excellent gite in the most beautiful surroundings. We have had a most wonderful return to Brittany by the canal. The weather has been good in parts and the ability to walk in all directions with great ease has been appreciated. A great holiday - thank you. The Havercrofts, August 2011
This is our second visit to this gite as we came last year, this time we brought our bikes and used them far more than the car! We did all the local attractions last year so spent almost the whole week in and around the gite using the pool, badminton, boules and table tennis. The location is just superb as is the gite and the owners who are helpful, polite, friendly, all six of us thoroughly enjoyed a relaxing week in La Roche (our party included 4 teenagers). The Meadens, July 2011
Thank you so much for a lovely stay and especially for the bicycles - I have very much enjoyed swimming and cycling all week, whatever the weather! The gite is lovely, the pool is fabulous and thank you so much for your kindness, help and generosity. P.S. we also very much enjoyed watching the DVDs in the evenings, thank you! Juliette, August 2010
A very relaxing week at one of the best gites we have stayed in - a week is too short! We've stayed in this area before when we did all the 'touristy' things so the furthest we ventured this time was Josselin (1 ½ hours' walk away along the canal path) and Guillac (about ½ hour the other direction). Our days were spent in the pool, playing table tennis and generally relaxing. Two weeks and bikes for next year. Weather has been beautiful. The Morris family, July 2010
A gite set in beautiful, natural gardens, lizards dozing and darting; the magic of birdsong and the sound of water gushing over the weir below. Blue skies and lovely sunshine. A kind of earthly paradise. The building is a real home sweet home. We wanted for nothing. Being poolside was like being a film star. The baker in Guillac makes very classy French baguettes and gateaux and will do you a classy pizza to order, too. A friendly café past the church serves refreshing draught beer. And for dining out: terrific French regional cuisine at Le Prieuré de Clisson, La Table d'O and l'Hôtel du Chateau in Josselin. We had the most wonderful family holiday. David and Liz; Cyril; Ben, Hayley and Barnaby; Tony and Helen, June 2010
We have had a wonderful week, in spite of the weather. The gite is wonderfully equipped and the owners could not have been more helpful. The track along the canal gave us wheelchair access to Josselin and the villages along the canal. The area is fantastic with lots of places to visit The Nusseys, September 2008
The best location we have ever had in France - we cannot fault the gite or the locality. All the local people we have met have been very friendly and helpful. The Thackers, July/August 2008
