Customer Reviews

During our 2 wks here we travelled around Morbihan & have grown very fond of the area and its people. Friendly welcoming! Josselin is a must & Saturday market is unbeatable. Do try the crêpes & galettes at most local restaurants. Do try a trip to Roc St André and continue to Malestroit; from there travel to Rochefort en Terre (very photogenic). Also try Ecomusée in Lizio. Tony & Diane, September/October 2012
We had a lovely week in a well equipped cottage - slept very well. Weather fine! We loved Josselin, fish market in Vannes (fantastic)! People in Lizio very friendly. Love to come back! Barrie & Gisèle, August 2012
We have spent a lovely week here in the Hobbit House. It's well equipped with a very comfortable bed, and we made use of the TV for the last days of the Olympics. We used the Leclerc & Super U at Ploërmel (good selection of wine). Weather was mixed but we visited Vannes, Josselin, Malestroit & Rochefort en Terre. Barry & Sheila, August 2012
A great base for exploring the local areas, beautiful cycle rides along the Nantes/Brest & Green Route. Lovely small towns & villages - real civic pride with flowers everywhere & waymarked walks/cycle rides. Have been impressed with the two local walks! A bonus was being able to watch some of the Olympic Games. Elizabeth & Robert, August 2012
We have had a relaxing week & went to local towns & markets. We particularly enjoyed Malestroit (especially market day); cycling along the beautiful canal path; Vannes was a fun day trip & Rochefort en Terre is a good place to stroll around & admire all the flowers. The weather has been ideal & we found the gite adequate. Paul & Sheran, July/August 2012
Had a fabulous week - comfortable gite & glorious weather & plenty to do. Would recommend Josselin's Saturday market, Rock Adventure at Le Roc St André (children really enjoyed); Rochefort en Terre (charming village); Concarneau & cycling on Voie Verte from Ploërmel to Malestroit. Hope you enjoy your stay as much as we enjoyed ours! John, Meinwen, Joshua & Jessica, July 2012
An excellent week! Nora, Helen, Arthur & Frank, July 2012
A lovely part of the world & a good base for touring. Weather better than in the UK! Hosts really helpful and friendly. Good choice! Alan, Sue & Kate Hancock, July 2012
Weather not bad but really wet on Sunday. Gite is very central for various places. A very peaceful & relaxing holiday. Caretaker pleasant & very helpful. Had BBQ all nights except one. Isabel, Michael, Stella & Brian Tape, June 2012
Pretty awful weather when we arrived but the wood stove was a life-saver! A lovely part of the world - appreciated Josselin, beautiful towns & river/Brest-Nantes canal, Pontivy pleasant, Malestroit even better (a walk by the river/canal quite essential), Vannes superb (not to be missed). Visit to Musée de la Résistance in St Marcel well worthwhile. The gite is fine and a great base for the area. Chris & Diane Hales, May 2012
