Description of Accommodation
The seaside resort of Carantec faces the Bay of Morlaix, which is dotted with dozens of tiny islands which make up an ornithological reserve. At low tide there's a walkway from Carantec harbour across to Ile Callot, a lovely little island with dunes and magnificent beaches. Nearby St Pol de Léon is an interesting town to visit - it's a great centre for vegetable growing and a visit to the Tuesday market by the cathedral is not to be missed.
Le Domaine du Golf is an attractive low rise complex with 65 apartments alongside the 9-hole Golf de Carantec and just a stroll away from the beach (2.5k by road). On site is a heated outdoor pool (15m x 7m, open June - end Sept), an indoor pool (10m x 5m, open all year), plus sauna*, gym and lounge area. Wi-Fi* at reception. Breakfast available for 8 euros, or 6 euros for under 13s. Tv hire 40 euros per week or 65 euros for 2 weeks. * Charge payable.
