Description of Hotel Escale Oceania, Quimper

Perhaps the most intrinsically Breton of all the region's cities, Quimper is the place where you are most likely to hear the Breton language. Close to the river, the centrally located Oceania is ideally placed for gentle exploration on foot to the Breton museum, cathedral, covered market hall, and the fascinating little streets packed with picturesque shops. It has modern and stylish bedrooms all with a shower as opposed to a bath and there is a pleasant evening restaurant.

Restaurant closed Fri/Sat/Sun except in Jul/Aug.

The hotel Oceania in Quimper is exactly what it says on the tin. Right in the middle of the City. Hotel staff and facilities very good. A very enjoyable stay.

2nd time we have been here. It has had the bedrooms improved recently. Bedding good quality and beds comfortable. Staff were helpful and pleasant. Small multi-story car park next door & hotel reception has a 'key' to get in when it is locked for the night, coin machine to pay before exiting.

Fair standard, no tea making facilities, no BBC TV after 6pm, bar prices very high

A recently refurbished hotel providing extremely comfortable, modern and clean accommodation only 5 minutes walk from Quimper town centre. The very large walk-in shower was superb! The staff were friendly, efficient and helpful and spoke good English. There was an excellent choice at breakfast with all tastes being catered for. The only downside was that the breakfast area could become a little chaotic. Although the hotel does not have its own car park, there is a very reasonably priced multi-storey car park right next door to the hotel. All in all we thought it was an excellent choice of hotel which we would highly recommend.
