Description of Hotel la Résidence, Roscoff
Close to the fishing harbour, in a street named after the 'onion Johnnies' (this trade originated from Brittany in the early 19thC and today one or two still cross the channel to sell their wares) this refurbished hotel is in a central position, 2k from the ferry terminal. The lovely bedrooms are bright and comfortable, the staff and owners are very friendly, and in cooler months a log fire burns in the lounge. This is a really pleasant place to unwind and, if you want to truly relax but feel invigorated afterwards, why not spend a few hours in the seawater spa which, along with the beach, is just a short walk. For a day out the medieval town of Morlaix is nearby - straddled by an impressive viaduct, it was once a busy port but nowadays is more a yacht haven. Free public parking.

La Residence is an excellent hotel with a very high standard of cleanliness, friendliness and decor. It is ideally situated just off the main restaurant street in Roscoff and with plenty of parking a very short distance away. The Residence is centrally located in Roscoff and easy to find. Plenty of parking in the nearby public car park. The hotel has a log fire and a nice little bar in a stylish travelling trunk. The hotel has been upgraded, so the rooms and bathroom seem to be brand new. Breakfast is well presented and adequate, and the Corsican and Spanish proprietors are very helpful. The short trip of 3 nights away, travelling on the wonderful Pont Aven, was terrific value for money. Roscoff is always interesting and has a wealth of excellent restaurants: the Surcouf being one of them, where we enjoyed a very indulgent platter of fruits de mer. Ms Goldsbrough, April 2013
Hotel la Residence is a fabulous boutique hotel. Very impressed with the decor and facilities and the owners couldn't hae been more welcoming and helpful. This hotel was the best hotel in Roscoff that we have stayed in (we are both 80+). The accommodation was impeccable, the welcome superb, the food and general ambience could not be bettered.
