Description of Hotel le Temps de Vivre, Roscoff
This beautifully restored 16thC stone house was originally built by one of Roscoff's wealthy pirates and is in front of the parish church (2.6k from the ferry terminal). It is now a lovely stylish hotel with a secluded garden, spacious modern bedrooms accessed from within the hotel or some via the courtyard, and a pleasant breakfast lounge beside reception where home made bread, cakes and preserves are served each morning. Free public parking within 400m.

This is a very good hotel if you are seeking a peaceful and relaxing break. The sea, harbor and beautiful beach are a stone's throw away and although you can't get a view of them from the rooms you benefit from the fresh sea air. This small hotel sits in a quiet square with a church opposite and just around the corner from a multitude of small shops, traditional creperies and restaurants. There is plenty of parking in the car park opposite too. The staff are very friendly, attentive and speak both French and English. There is no restaurant in the hotel which was no problem given its location and you can order drinks into your room (at an extra charge). A traditional continental breakfast is served downstairs or in your room if you prefer. My only small frustration was that there was no tea making facility in the room itself. This hotel is comfortable, clean, warm and convenient and the hostess is helpful and friendly, she speaks English if needed and was happy to look after our bags on arrival and at the end of our stay. The clue that you can hear the church clock strike is in the description that the hotel is near the church. Breakfasts were plentiful and rooms a good size. It is nice and very convenient just to pop back to the hotel after lunch or a trip to the shops. We went as foot passengers on a three day trip and had fun investigating the trains and buses in and out of Roscoff. Heather Childe, October/November 2012

Extremely comfortable beds and a very quiet hotel. Perfect sleep! Breakfast is plentiful, local cakes, breads, pastries, yoghurts, fruits and preserves just keep coming.
