Description of Hotel du Cheval Blanc, St Pol de Léon
Named after a Welsh monk, St Pol de Léon, a short drive south of Roscoff, is the heart of France's globe artichoke and cauliflower growing industry. This quiet old market town with narrow cobbled streets and pavement cafés has a Tuesday market and is famous for its typically Breton cathedral which has a stunningly beautiful interior. Right in the centre, close to the cathedral, the Hotel du Cheval Blanc is a pleasant, unassuming little hotel with a friendly bar and is like an English guest house with simple but charming bedrooms that mostly have an en suite shower rather than a bath.
