Description of Hotel Ibis Plage, St Malo
This convenient, modern hotel overlooks St Malo's beautiful beach which stretches for 2k and is aptly named the Grande Plage. The walled city is about 10 minutes walk along the promenade and a stroll around its ramparts gives you the best view over the old town. Bedrooms are simply but comfortably furnished, there is free Wi-Fi, and a buffet breakfast is served in the breakfast room facing the sea. Hotel parking approx. 17 euros/night or free street parking and the ferry terminal is a good half hour walk.

Ferry prices for holiday clients are greatly reduced therefore if you travel abroad for 7 nights or longer a minimum of 3 nights holiday accommodation for all members of the party must be booked.

Booked the hotel for 2 nights via a Britanny Ferries short break. Hotel was excellent, well located just 10 mins from Intra Muros, next to the beach. Clean and well decorated I had a single room which was actually a double, large comfortable with bath and shower. Breakfast served in the bar was relaxed with a wide range including local specialities. Parking was outside hotel and free. Local restaurants adjacent. Free wifi. Excellent base or a short break. Excellent hotel, very well situated for location (overlooking beach) and access to Intra Muras (ten minute walk). Bedroom reasonably basic but more than adequate with the most comfortable hotel bed I've ever slept in. Bathroom fine although very snug. Breakfast ample with plenty of choice and friendly staff. This hotel is very convenient for St Malo centre and offers real value for money. One tip for car drivers - ask to see the car park before using it as it has very tight turning space and long vehicles will struggle if allocated places at either end of the car park. Mr & Mrs Cripps, May 2013
