Description of Nuit et Jour, Cancale

The Nuit et Jour is a clutch of wooden chalets that nestle amongst flowered shrubbery alongside the coastal road to Cancale (1k). Centered around a heated pool that can be covered in cooler weather and the main building that houses reception and the breakfast room/lounge, each chalet has its own independent access and terrace. There is also free Wi-Fi, a gym with sauna, a steam room and a small spa (extra charge). Cancale is the oyster capital of Brittany and has a pretty harbour surrounded by attractive old fishing cottages, many of which are now shops and restaurants. After visiting the museum and watching the oyster farming activities, why not head out on foot along the Sentier des Douaniers to the Pointe du Grouin which, on a clear day, has a good view across the bay to Mont St Michel and Cap Fréhel.
