Customer Reviews

This gite sets a very high standard and is in a magnificent area of interest. Thank you to Sharon & Dom for their warm welcome & the supply of information. Montpellier on a Sunday is fantastic (all the shops are closed but the atmosphere is relaxed). The great visit was the steam train from Anduze to St Jean du Gard; if spending time in Anduze visit Place Nôtre Dame. Thanks for everything! Barbara & Bill Tinsley, September 2012
We have had a very enjoyable week in this lovely gite & some wonderful trips to Nîmes, Pont du Gard where our boys enjoyed swimming in the river. We also had a day out in the Camargue where we also stopped at Saintes Maries de la Mer which was a lovely place. Montpellier was wonderful and we would love to come back to. A week is not enough! Thank you to Sharon & Dom for all your useful info & tips and for making us all so welcome. Justine, Andy, Olly & Seb, September 2012
We have had a fabulous time in this beautiful gite. Because of the heat, we have done quite a bit of relaxing by the pool which has been invaluable but have very much enjoyed the amphitheatre at Nîmes, the Grotte de Trabuc, Pont du Gard as well as the multitude of fascinating villages in the area. Sommières is a real treat especially Saturday morning market. Close-ups of the resident Hoopoe were a first for us, also the friendly geckos and lizard climbing our walls (outside)! Thank you for the very warm welcome. David, Esther, Priscilla & Henny Wells, August 2012
A lovely gite in an amazing area; we have had a lovely holiday enabling us to visit friends in Béziers and the Ardèche. Thank you to Dom & Sharon for their hospitality. Mick, Jayne, Isabella & Imogen, July/August 2012
Fabulous apartment in a fascinating area & Domaine de Cantafaroune is perfectly placed to start discovering it. Montpellier & Nîmes are both musts. Take the park-and-ride tram from L'Occitane into Montpellier; the art galley, Jardin des Plantes & the elevated walkway next to the arch (Place Royale du Peyrou) are worth a visit. In Nîmes see the arena (unmissable) & Thursday night is party night with market stall & music in many of the squares. Your hosts will be the best people to ask about what to see & where to go or you could just sit by the pool in the 30°C heat & relax! Only sorry we did not get up early enough for one of Dom's 7am hikes in the hills. Maybe next time! Philip, Sue, Charlotte & Kate, July 2012
We visited Les Gorges de l'Hérault, Nîmes, Pont du Gard (port & beach), Camargue & Montpellier. Our hosts were welcoming, friendly and have made the gite a most comfortable and well-equipped place to stay. Thank you for a splendid week. Peter & Linda, September/October 2010
We received a very warm welcome on arrival and visited a few vineyards and sampled the local wine. We liked Ferrières les Verreries where we saw how glass blowing was done, and had an excellent meal at 'Le Brice' - very many thanks! Jean & Dan, September 2010
A warm friendly welcome from Sharon and Dom and the accommodation is lovely, very comfortable and peaceful. We recommend Uzès, Pont du Gard, Nîmes and local villages. There is plenty to do around here! Adam & Karen, September 2010
We have had a great 2 weeks in a lovely gite - the weather was gorgeous & very hot, so the swimming pool is a great way to cool off. We visited Nîmes, Montpellier, Sète, Aigues Mortes, St Guilhem, Palavas & Pont du Gard. Hope to come back another year! Gill & Tony, July 2010
A lovely gite in a beautiful region! Sharon & Dom were very helpful and 'La Brice' restaurant is excellent & has wonderful salads. Thanks to our hosts for making this stay so enjoyable! Ducan, Olivia, Lindsey & Joanne Hanning, July 2010
