Description of Domaine des Thômeaux, Amboise - Mosnes
In a beautiful setting 10k from Amboise, this stately 18thC château is an excellent base for exploring the lovely Loire valley and its impressive châteaux. Each bedroom is decorated and furnished to depict a different country - Africa, India, Europe or even China - and the theme is followed through into the excellent restaurant where the menu features international dishes complemented by a good wine list. There is a small spa centre (charges apply) where you can relax in the sauna or Turkish bath before having a massage and beauty treatments, or why not hire a bicycle from reception and explore - the river Loire is a short distance and just behind the hotel grounds is a family adventure park with mini golf, canoeing, children's play area, karting and a zip wire course.
