Description of Accommodation
Azay le Rideau is a small town with a beautiful château known as one of the gems of the French Renaissance. Built in a stunning setting on an island on the banks of the Indre river it has a magnificent garden full of exotic trees from all over the world. The interior has a museum displaying beautiful paintings and furniture mostly from the 18thC but the main feature is the grand, ceremonial staircase. Azay le Rideau is a great base for discovering the glorious countryside of the Loire & many other châteaux including Chinon & Chenonceau which are an easy drive from here.
Les Jardins de la Renaissance is a modern residence of 100 houses set in magnificent tree-lined grounds on the outskirts of Azay le Rideau. Each has its own small terrace with garden furniture. Free tennis court and indoor pool (12m x 5m & 1.4m deep). Steam room, fitness room & sauna (1 free session per house per week then around 8 euros per session). Spa/wellbeing centre (charge payable). Wi-Fi (charge payable) and bakery service at reception.
Max: 4 - Single storey house has living area with single sofa bed, single pull-out bed + tv. Kitchenette (2 ring hob, microwave/grill + dishwasher). Bath or shower room. Wc. Small double bedroom.
Max: 4/6 - 2 storey house has living area with single sofa bed, single pull-out bed + tv. Kitchenette (4 ring hob, microwave/grill + dishwasher). Wc. Bathroom/wc & 2 small bedrooms (double + twin) on 1st floor.
Max: 8 - As Max 4/6 above except 1st floor has bathroom, separate wc & 3 bedrooms - 2 doubles (1 with en suite shower) and 1 twin.

End of stay cleaning - 55 to 70 euros (except kitchen area).
