Spacious detached stone property in quiet country setting with lovely views, 30 minutes from beautiful sandy beaches. Large kitchen/dining area (f/freezer, m/wave, d/washer). Comfortable lounge area with woodburner, tv (English channels), dvd, hi-fi, French windows, exposed stone/beams. Wc (w/machine). 1st floor has shower room/wc, 3 dble bedrms (1 with king size bed) and a small room with bunk beds & shower. Steep stairs to 2nd floor with 2 twin bedrms (1 with shower & wc, 1 with en suite bathroom/wc). Cot, high chair, stairgates, baby bath. Bed linen hire includes towels. C/heating. Enclosed garden/meadow (1.5 acres) with fruit trees, large sunny patio, garden furniture & bbq. £150 deposit payable to owners 3 weeks in advance. Utility charge: metered.

This is a good walking or cycling area and there's plenty to visit locally including Mont St Michel, Avranches & Villedieu les Poêles (15k), an interesting town famous for its copperware & bell foundry. Brécey (3k) has a Friday market and a calvados distillery (try before you buy) & the Forest of St Sever (12k) is wonderful with lakes, fishing, birdwatching, children's play area, café/restaurant and picnic area.

We stayed at this property for the New Year of 2012. The house was lovely, with lots of character and plenty of room (and bathrooms) for the 5 adults, 4 young children and frisky dog that made up our party. The house is conveniently situated close to a SuperU and there are larger shops in the towns a short drive away if required. This property is ideally situated for visiting the D-Day beaches and Mont St Michel, both of which we did. I would highly recommend staying in La Sagerie. Danni & family, December/January 2012

The house has a lot of character and it was very comfortable to stay in. The children enjoyed playing badminton over the washing line. The garden was very good with beautiful trees and a good BBQ.
