Customer Reviews

A fantastic holiday in Bayeux and lots of interesting things to do and see! The house is lovely & we all enjoyed staying here living the French life. As a bonus the weather has been great & had a few days on the beach! The Davis family, August 2012
Bayeux is lovely. The Tourist Office has a town trail available which is well worth doing to find streets & squares you otherwise would miss. We loved following the history of William the conqueror, visiting Caen, Falaise & bien sûr the tapestry! Go for fresh croissants just up the street & Pizza Sprint do lovely pizzas. The house is lovely & in a lovely area. A definite place to come back to! Jo, Peter, David, James & Sarah, August 2012
Lovely week spent in a very comfortable house & beautiful town. All the D-day museums are worthwhile visiting and Bayeux is a lovely town & really good to be within walking distance of shops, bars & attractions. Weather was good; spent time on beaches and in the sea. Hope to return! Wendy, Michael, Molly, Sam & Lucy, August 2012
We have spent a fabulous fortnight here in Bayeux. The house is charming & in an excellent location. Bayeux is beautiful & interesting especially the cathedral. For a typical Normandie meal we would recommend L'Assiette Normande & for lunch L'Arthé the owners were lovely. For lunch or a snack try Pomme Cannelle by the cathedral. Favourite visits were to Arromanche, Port en Bessin, Longues sur Mer & Pointe du Hoc. It was well worth the hour & a half drive to visit Le Mt St Michel! The Beeson family, July/August 2012
We have spent a very enjoyable week in Bayeux, a lovely town which is rich in history and has lots of lovely shops and bakeries. We would recommend eating out at 'Le Volet qui Penche' a fabulous bistro & wine bar with delicious food and friendly & very knowledgeable staff. The house has been great, well equipped & within walking distance of just about everything! The Masons, July 2012
Bayeux is a lovely town with lots of restaurants, patisseries & boulangeries. There are lots of beaches close by which are worth a visit. The tapestry is worth a visit but remember to get the audio guide to explain the different stages. The Lonergans, July 2012
Thank you so much for providing us with such a lovely 'petit', clean and beautifully furnished house. We have thoroughly enjoyed spending the week in Bayeux, and were luckily able to be here for the medieval festival. People are lovely here and we were surprised to see at how much there was to do & see. Point du Hoc was one of our favourite trips! Ralph, Anne, Ellie & Katy, July 2012
We have had a great time here in Bayeux. The house is beautifully furnished and very well equipped. We love the fact it is right in the middle of a residential area which added to the atmosphere of a true French holiday. Local beaches, museums, cemeteries are all worth visiting. Seeing the grave-stones is very moving. There is an excellent road access to local towns & places of interest. Ruth & Bob Maclaren, June/July 2012
We have had a very enjoyable week staying at N°10. It is a lovely old house and very comfortably furnished. We loved being in the town and the surrounding areas. We have done all the WWII D Day Beaches, cemeteries and museums. Hope to return to Bayeux one day and see all the other sights we did not! Jim & Mavis, Kath & Ken, June 2012
Thank you for all the work you have put into your home to make it so comfortable for us. The Cidre & Normandie biscuits were especially appreciated. The new paint job & furniture are very tasteful & I have taken photos of each room to take home to show family & friends so let's hope they come to visit your home. Your English information booklet was also very well used & thoughtful, thank you! Your town is so clean & beautiful and the people so helpful & the car drivers very well mannered on the roads! Robert and Ruth Maclaren, May 2012
