Description of Hotel Ferme de la Rançonnière, Bayeux - Crêpon
In beautiful countryside 15k north east of Bayeux, this delightful hotel was once a farm and its outbuildings dating back to the 15thC. It still retains its original stonework and wooden beams and each bedroom, although not large, is graced with original antiques. The accommodation, restaurant and breakfast room surround the picturesque courtyard, and it's an ideal place to escape from the get-up-and-go world. It also offers plenty of good old-fashioned hospitality to make your stay totally memorable. Free Wi-Fi & tennis court. Some annexe bedrooms 600m from the main building (no lift).

The staff were very welcoming indeed, and the whole management seemed very professional. The single occupancy was in the tower section with three flights of stone steps, but they re-located our friend to the ground floor for the other two nights, which was very satisfactory.
