Description of Hotel Mercure, Cabourg
When sea bathing came into fashion in the last century, Cabourg was the place to do it. The Hotel Mercure is away from the town centre in a tranquil position between the river and the racecourse, and 900m from the lovely long, sandy beach. A pleasant hotel, it has air conditioned bedrooms with modern facilities, free Wi-Fi, a gym, sauna and lovely heated outdoor pool which is covered in cooler months so that it can be used all year round. The restaurant alongside is under separate ownership but offers a good choice of menu and a fine wine list.

Ferry prices for holiday clients are greatly reduced therefore if you travel abroad for 7 nights or longer a minimum of 3 nights holiday accommodation for all members of the party must be booked.

The Mercure Cabourg is ideally placed for a short break or holiday in Normandy. The hotel is bright and has good facilities which include a heated pool and mini gym. Breakfast is good with a wide selection of food. The hotel is 10 minutes walk from Cabourg where there is good shopping and plenty of restaurants. Mr & Mrs Alexander, April 2013
Excellent hotel with good leisure facilities. The 900m to the beach is a bit inaccurate and there are no drawers in the bedrooms. Breakfast is excellent and the adjoining (but seperately owned) restaurant offers a good varied menu, high quality and reasonable priced. The Smiths, August 2012

This is an unpretentious, modern hotel in a great location opposite the Hippodrome. The rooms are well equipped - not all French hotels have tea making facilities as standard - and the buffet breakfast choice includes hot food in its very wide range of choices which were all of good quality. The usual breads and croissants were on offer but you could easily avoid them if you required something more substantial. Staff were courteous and helpful and there was a heated pool.
