Description of Hotel Ibis Port de Plaisance, Caen
Next door to the Hotel Mercure, with which it shares a bar and a glass atrium, this modern hotel faces the yacht harbour and is close to the centre of Caen, with its castle and cathedral. Comfortable bedrooms all have a shower as opposed to a bath, there is free Wi-Fi, and the shared brasserie (under separate management) offers a pleasant environment in which to dine - all in all, a good place to stay and an ideal base for exploring this wonderful city. Garage parking approx. 10 euros/night.

Prices in black are per person based on two sharing. They include B&B and return ferry crossings on selected sailings to France, for a standard car and occupants.

Ferry prices for holiday clients are greatly reduced therefore if you travel abroad for 7 nights or longer a minimum of 3 nights holiday accommodation for all members of the party must be booked.

This hotel is well situated for all attractions. The rooms are ok but a little small but are accessible by a lift so ok for older people etc. Also, the receptionists are English speaking, which, in my case was an enormous help. Parking is available in the basement but a bit expensive at 10 euros a night. Overall a hotel well worth visiting. Mr & Mrs Wilkins, October 2012
