Your accommodation will generally be ready for you to arrive between 4pm and 6pm and you are requested to leave by 10am. Please bear this in mind when booking your ferry crossings.
Description of Accommodation
Semi-detached gite (on right of picture) adjoining NM1081 Max 4, in hamlet by small quiet road, just 2k from the beach and 1k from a bar & restaurant. Kitchen (w/machine, m/wave). Living room with fireplace, sofa & tv. Bathroom. Wc. 3 dble bedrms on first floor. Wicker cot < 2yrs. Heating. Small courtyard. Private garden with lawn, furniture & sandpit. Utility charge: metered.
The wonderful abbey at Lessay (13k) dates from the time of William the Conqueror. There is also a 'fromagerie' here worth visiting.

We are really enjoying our holiday here. The gite is in a wonderful place & M. Roptin is a very helpful host. So far we recommend Pirou especially La Marée restaurant (delicious sea food) and we found a handy playground by the locals boules 'pitch' in St Germain sur Ay plage (also with handy shop & slightly rougher waves). The beach just down the road is very nice, particularly at low tide which exposes a humongous amount of rocks teeming with sea life including lots of hermit crabs. As said earlier the market at La Haye-du-Puits on Wednesdays is well worth a visit, particularly the cheese stall where the owner rewards children's attempts at speaking French with free cheese!
