Conveniently located in the pedestrianised part of the town centre which remains lively at night, this simple, comfortable hotel has a spacious lounge cum breakfast room, free Wi-Fi and pleasant bedrooms - for no extra charge, the friendly staff will deliver breakfast to your door. The old streets and shops of Cherbourg are well worth exploring, and don't miss La Cité de la Mer, a huge museum devoted to submarines and underwater life. Garage parking approx. 6 euros/night or free public parking 200m. If you are visiting as a foot passenger, the ferry terminal is approximately 4k.

The accommodation at the Hotel du Louvre was very good and ALL the staff were helpful, pleasant and friendly. Although it is rated as a 2 star it should be given a higher grade. Breakfasts were exceptionally good. The room service was also very good. Parking was only a short distance away and free.
