Description of Accommodation
Port en Bessin is a charming fishing port renowned for its international 18 hole golf course and there is now also a new well designed American style course (superb views) with spectacular water hazards to test your game. A marked trail takes you on a self-guided walking tour of the harbour and its history and an excellent Sunday market is held here. Excursions & boat rides are available to explore the nearby D-Day Landing beaches where there are various museums to visit dedicated to this wartime period. A short drive away is the medieval town of Bayeux (8k) with its famous tapestry depicting the Norman conquest of England.
This modern residence of 19 apartments and over 120 houses is set in the heart of a prestigious golf course (discount on green fees) amongst beautifully landscaped gardens. All houses have a terrace with a view over the golf course. Facilities include a heated outdoor pool (May to Sept) and indoor pool (open until end Oct), sauna & children's play area. FREE children's activities for 6-12 years (3 half days per child per week) during Easter holidays and Jul/Aug. Wi-Fi at reception (charge payable). End of stay cleaning included, except kitchen area.
Max: 4/5 - 2 storey house has living area with tv and double sofa bed (or 2 single sofa beds plus single pull-out bed). Kitchenette (hob, microwave/grill + dishwasher). Bathroom. Wc. Bedroom with double or 2 single beds + 1 pull-out single bed on 1st floor.
Max: 5/6 - As above except with a double pull-out bed in living area, extra wc, a double and twin bedroom and bathroom/wc on 1st floor.
