Customer Reviews

We have thoroughly enjoyed our stay here; it has been pure bliss. We have spent our days relaxing in the sun, walking along the Seine or cycling up the country roads. We would like to thank Jean Paul for giving us a very warm welcome & lending us some much needed maps. The gite is very well equipped, we found everything we needed & felt very at home. The area is picturesque & quiet which was exactly what we needed to escape from the busy city life at home. This was a wonderful time of year to come, we saw the first signs of spring and bathed in the wonderful weather. Ben, Michelle & Bill Brooke, March 2007
We have enjoyed a lovely week in this beautiful part of France. We were lucky with the weather - hot and sunny every day bar Friday, and even that turned from rain to sun during the day. Most evenings (including Friday) we sat outside to eat. Like others before us, we thank Jean-Paul for his help with directions and advice - particularly in respect of our visit to Rouen. Take heed! We visited the tourist office there, where you can get audio guide for 5 euros per person - we would recommend it if you are looking to see the city rather than visit the shops! We hope visitors to come enjoy their stay as much as we have. Jenni and Bob Kelly, June 2008
Many thanks to M & Mme Lenhof for this excellent gite. Please do read the earlier entries in this book and take Jean-Paul's advice about the Mont Riboudet park & ride! Rouen has an excellent market on Sunday morning at the Place St Marc, as well as all its other attractions. Enjoy all the local places on the Seine, and don't be afraid to use the bacs to get across; they are great fun. We had no bad meals anywhere and agree with all the praise for Les Gastronomes in La Bouille. A great week in an unexpectedly nice part of the world. Barbara & Robin, September 2010
This has seemed something like a pilgrimage, we've seen more cathedrals, abbeys and churches than in all our previous holidays combined. But what places of worship! We've had some fine food and I especially appreciated the cidre, being no lover of wine. Overall, a truly terrific holiday and we wouldn't hesitate to return. Jeff & Lindsay Bowles, August 2010
