Arriving at your property

Your accommodation will generally be ready for you to arrive between 4pm and 6pm and you are requested to leave by 10am. Please bear this in mind when booking your ferry crossings.

Description of Accommodation

Tastefully renovated detached gite close to 3 others and friendly owners' property in huge open grounds. Only 1k from village (restaurant, no shops) and an easy drive to sandy beaches & the lovely port of La Rochelle. Small cattle farm & peacocks on site (most animals not present in high season). Fitted kitchen/dining room with exposed stone walls/beams, m/wave, d/washer and small sitting area (tv, video). Utility room (w/machine). Small shower room/wc. Steep, narrow open tread stairs lead to bath/shower, wc and 2 bedrms - a tple (3 sgle beds) & a dble (king size bed). Cot, high chair, baby bath. C/heating (40 to 75 euros/wk). Private rear garden and terrace (furniture & bbq). Shared table tennis and swings. Utility charge: included. The Pool: 9.5m x 4.5m and 1.5 m deep. Fenced, open May to end Sept and shared with other gites and owners.

The Fôret de Chizé (32k) has an animal park amidst beautiful countryside with around 500 animals - other attractions include a mini farm and play area for children. The Venise Verte (13k) offers boat trips through its canals & waterways and is an excellent walking area.
