Description of Relais du Bois St Georges, Saintes
This modern hotel is near the A10 motorway on the outskirts of Saintes, but set within beautiful parkland overlooking a pond, so the surroundings are pleasant and peaceful. It has 2 restaurants, a lovely piano bar lounge with indoor pool and large picture windows overlooking the garden terrace, and the bedrooms are interestingly themed: Oriental, African & Egyptian to name but three. Saintes is a short drive from the coast, Rochefort and La Rochelle, and a visit to the fragrant town of Cognac is a must.

Ferry prices for holiday clients are greatly reduced therefore if you travel abroad for 7 nights or longer a minimum of 3 nights holiday accommodation for all members of the party must be booked.

Excellent location to break a long drive down the Atlantic coast of France. Although close to the A10-E5, the extensive gardens and grounds gave the hotel a sense of peace and tranquillity. Service was very good (reception helped us find a Citreon service station in the town). Enjoyed our one night here and wished we had had more time. Mr & Mrs King, July 2012
