Description of Relais des Etangs de Guibert, Neufchâtel en Saosnois
Once a farmhouse, this lovely hotel is well off the beaten track in the unspoilt Forest of Perseigne, alongside a lake full of trout and pike. Walking, cycling and fishing are obviously on the agenda, with comfortable bedrooms to come home to and a delightful dining room with French windows opening onto the waterside terrace where you can dine in season. The excellent menu includes home-made foie gras, salmon stuffed with foie gras and other local specialities.
